Hello 4th Graders! I'm so excited to have you in my class this year, and can't wait to meet you all soon! Please feel free to explore our class blog to see what kinds of fun things you have to look forward to this year!
After you look around, comment on this post one thing you are looking forward to in 4th grade. See you soon! On Wednesday May 10th we went on a field trip to Chippewa Falls to something called the "Past Passed Here." It was a place where people were dressed up as the past. They taught us all about Native Americans and early Europeans who lived in our area. We learned a lot!
We just had a dancing unit in music/PE. It was a lot of fun. Watch the video below to see us showing Ms. B. one of the dances we learned!
We've been busy learning all about technology. This week, we examined different types of communication technology. Many of it was older than we were, so we had to use our detective skills to make guesses about what the tool did, and what later replaced it. It was a lot of fun!November was a busy month! We celebrated Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving, and Addy's birthday. We had a fun end of trimester celebration where we danced and played games. We also met our reading goal to finish 100 books, and celebrated with a pajama day! We can't wait to see what December will bring! Our new tables arrived! We were so excited to sit at our new furniture this week. We also took a walking field trip to Chapman Park where we discussed ecosystems and observed the elk. On Friday, we had a team test in Math, where we worked together to solve addition, subtraction, and place value problems that we learned in Unit 1. We had a great 6th week of school! This week we went to the Stanley Historical Museum, had a book raffle, and had a blast trying some of our new Wobble Stools and cushions. Check out our Week 5 photos below! Now that classroom jobs have been assigned, this blog will be run by the Technology Supervisors and the News Director. Expect a weekly photo journal every week that shows what we are up to, as well as blog entries describing specific things we did that week! |
